Following the first message asked about the likelihood of receiving an interview at an institution at which one does an away rotation, I scheduled an away rotation in January at an institution I have a strong interest in, because I start fourth year late. How would you feel about an average candidate to which you did not extend an early interview contacting you and saying, "Dear Program Director, I am doing a late rotation with you because I have a strong interest in your program. I hope you might consider scheduling an interview during my rotation as I give your program its own opportunity to evaluate me as a future EM physician"?
