Hello everyone, this is Candace Clippard (Executive Director at Day 7). We coach and connect nonprofit staff to self-care resources. We are about to launch a “Front Lines Fund”. We want to offer free counseling, self-care coaching, guided soul care days, and spiritual direction to any nonprofit staff who’s front line work is continuing in addition to medical staff. We don’t know how successful this fund will be, and we haven’t determined how to distribute funds yet…day by day shifting and new ideas. We do know we want to be serving our nonprofit community during this difficult season. I welcome any ideas anyone may have. My email is candace@day-7.org. In addition, we are posting daily stories on our Instagram and Facebook feeds with online fitness, nutrition, general health, mindfulness, and faith-based resources. We want to do all we can to support your health and wellness while you care for others!

01:32:42
are the crisis support events open like this one??

01:33:01
I'd also like a copy of these slides if possible. Marisela@tninnocence.org

01:33:20
What is the date that "Meet the Funders" is rescheduled to?

Kim Karesh from NALC: is anyone watching the new legislation and creating a guide for what will apply to us specifically?

01:36:43
Thank you for reaching out to nonprofits, offering the town halls and advocating for our inclusion in COVID-19 economic relief!

01:37:34
Are you hearing of any housing available for homeless or victims who have a positive COVID19 test?

01:37:35
Look forward to hearing from Mimi Bliss about communications. Talking with staff, clients, donors and community is critical right now.

01:38:02
hahah oh no

01:38:03
I think everyone needs to mute themselves again

01:38:42
Are nonprofits considered small business and available to get the l

01:38:55
I think you should re-mute everyone and then have people use the Raise Hand function if they want to speak.

01:38:58
I'd also love to hear the answer to Shan's question

01:39:00
You can keep everyone muted and have people "raise their hand" where you can then unmute that individual person.

01:39:21
are you going to show the results of the survey?

01:40:04
Look at Grassroots Grantmakers for gifts to individuals

01:40:40
The Community Foundation can help set up and run this kind of fund.

01:40:59
Is there a resource we could have to help people know how to get the relief funds that are available?

01:41:03
@Teresa: Yes, nonprofits are considered a small business & eligible for the SBA loans

01:41:23
Samantha SwiftSamantha.Swift@ascension.orgThe Small Business Administration has funds, you could also donate to other public services already providing expense relief.

01:41:56
I'm actually making a resource cheat sheet for work if you would like a copy of it.

01:41:59
Positive and awaiting cases are being housed at the Fairgrounds!

01:42:03
@kkaresh

01:42:12
There's a working group that working on issues relating to people experiencing homelessness

Metro is currently seeking volunteers for the Fairgrounds temporary shelter (positive and awaiting cases)

01:42:25
Does a nonprofit have the ability to give a loan to an employee who is struggling? I have had that option with past employers and it may be an option for you all if you have employees who need extra assistance.

In North Nashville - we have a strong system within Gideon’s Army and McGruder Family Resource Center to reach our families and provide services, food, and support. McGruder has been invaluable in being a direct connection to the students and families.

01:46:30
Also, has anyone thought of revamping their social media campaigns? Now I think is a great time to gain awareness and explore different platforms. Your donors are at home glued to their phones and TV. Use that to your advantage!

Tomorrow night at 7pm, Nashville Shakespeare Festival is doing a fun Facebook live stream of our 2016 Shakespeare in the Park production of Comedy of Errors with original music by (and starring) the late, great David Olney. That is one way that NSF is finding alternatives for normal programming.

Susan, thank you for sharing. What's the name of your organization, again? Sorry I keep missing it. :)

Young Leaders Council is currently training 115 students for nonprofit board leadership, and of course today’s challenges are providing a rich learning environment. We were able to pivot to online classes via Zoom, and all presenters have adapted their training to address this situation. We are seeking nonprofits who are interested in hosting board interns, who can continue to serve as a full board member after their one year internship. If we can serve your organization, please reach out to me at Lisa@youngleaderscouncil.org

Since many are sharing services, I think it would be helpful for CNM to include a resource list organized in categories or by population groups highlighting key services non-profits are offering & link/phone number to access. I'm happy to share a brief summary on senior services from our recent Leadership Council with 18 agencies

02:00:34
OH NO!!!

02:00:50
That is HORRIBLE!!

02:00:51
Revisiting Shan’s question - in regards to helping kids right now, it feels like there are a lot of organizations with their own initiatives - is there a way we can see who is doing what and figure out how we can support?

The greatest challenge for MNPS going on line is equity. We need to be as helpful as possible in being sure the same children left behind are not pushed even farther behind during this rollout of on line education.
