As federal, state and local entities seek to rapidly respond to a global health crisis caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic some communities are facing greater adverse impacts. Communities of color, immigrants, people living in poverty, incarcerated individuals and individuals with behavioral health conditions are facing new challenges while grappling with the intensified effects of health disparities based on pre-existing institutional inequities, discrimination, inequitable access to testing, quality of care, and more.
