Linda Williams
Community Outreach & Training Manager @Consumer Action
Linda Williams joined the Consumer Action Los Angeles Office Outreach and Training Team in September 2006. As Community Outreach & Training Manager, she aggressively pursues the team’s mission to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their income level, are able to learn about their rights as consumers. She has carried out this mission by networking, coalition building, and training case managers, counselors, social workers, educators, librarians, and front-line advocates who serve low-income and hard-to-reach consumers from coast to coast in the fundamentals of financial literacy. Williams holds a Juris Doctor degree, and Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and Organizational Behavior. She is a member of ATD—the Association for Talent Development (formerly ASTD) and its local Los Angeles Chapter. She actively participates in ATD continuing education classes for the professional development of trainers.
Micki Nozaki
Director of the California Senior Medicare Patrol Project @California Health Advocates
Micki Nozaki joined our CHA staff with the California Senior Medicare Patrol project in the fall of 2011. She had previously served as a Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program counselor, offering in-person Medicare counseling at several sites throughout Orange County. Her professional experience includes 25 years in the private sector, for mainly healthcare, insurance, and government-contracted organizations, where she lead the development, implementation and promotion of information security and privacy programs. She has written and edited several textbooks and spoken extensively on the importance of protecting patient and consumer confidentiality. Additionally, she has testified in front of Congressional representatives concerning the importance of computer security. Micki has a B.S. and MBA from the University of Redlands. She is an animal lover and strives to be a tolerable golfer.
