The purpose of this webinar is to inform all those interested in dementia research about the scope and focus of the DCRC. In conversation with Ms Janice Besch, the Director of the National Institute for Dementia Research, Directors will provide information about the research funding, knowledge translation and capacity building activities of the DCRC and the three Flagship projects to be undertaken within this funding period. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
Over the last few years the former Dementia Collaborative Research Centres have undergone restructuring into a unitary centre and our name has changed slightly to The Dementia Centre for Research Collaboration to reflect this. The DCRC was recently refunded by NHMRC for a period of 3 years until June 2021. It comprises three hubs, two at UNSW and one at QUT. The hubs at UNSW are led by Professor Henry Brodaty and Professor Kaarin Anstey respectively and the QUT hub by Professor Elizabeth Beattie. The DCRC now forms a significant component of the research portfolio of the NHMRC National Institute for Dementia Research.
