Brett is ESR’s Chief Scientist, equally at home in business as a senior leader from start-ups to large organisations, and science. Brett is a registered medical practitioner, holds an MBA from the University of Auckland, has won over 30 business and academic prizes including National Innovation in Healthcare, Excellence in the use of IT in Biotechnology, and a ‘Future Directors’ award, and is a named inventor on a portfolio of ten medical and software patents. As a scientist he has over 100 publications in medicine, engineering, pharmaceutical trials, radiology, image processing, machine learning, modelling and statistics.
