eLN webinar: Four ways to create learning that people will love, using games and immersive technologies
We’re all demanding more from digital learning; users want interesting, enjoyable experiences that meet their high expectations of technology and personal development, while businesses want effective, measurable solutions, aligned to their key priorities. How do we balance the needs of the individual and those of the organisation to create learning that everyone loves?

In this webinar, presented by Sponge, we’ll look at four examples where digital games and immersive technologies, like VR and 360° video, are not only ‘wowing’ audiences but achieving real business impact. You’ll see how companies, including Tetra Pak, Royal Mail and Yum! Brands (the company behind KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell), are addressing key challenges through immersive experience and game play.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a greater understanding of how these technologies can be used to engage and motivate people and will learn how to:
• Recognise different game types and their practical applications within corporate learning
• Identify use cases for VR and 360° video and how to mix technologies for greatest impact
• Align games and immersive technologies to business goals

Previously a creator of indie games, Jason Butler, Game Developer, has successfully transferred his expertise to digital learning, developing tailored solutions that deliver tangible results while delighting players. He was the first ever recipient of Learning Developer of the Year at the Learning Technology Awards, and his work has been described as ‘outstanding’ by industry experts.

Lucy Gibbs, Innovation Producer, is a future-thinker and a ‘future-doer’, using research and user insights to imagine new possibilities for learning technologies, then rolling up her sleeves to make them a reality. Through a mix of horizon scanning, research and practical experimentation, she ensures Sponge’s innovation projects align with client and learner needs.
