Oral Advocacy: How to Talk Gooder by Two Goodly Talkers! This presentation provides tips not just for improving presentation of oral argument but for preparing for argument as well. The presenters will discuss their own methods of preparation and provide various strategies for presenting argument including handling questions (and handling no questions). Allyson N. Ho is co-chair of the Firm’s nationwide Appellate and Constitutional Law practice group and partner in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She has presented over 100 oral arguments in federal and state courts nationwide, including six high-stakes business cases before the U.S. Supreme Court Chad Baruch is a board-certified appellate lawyer and managing partner of Johnston Tobey Baruch in Dallas. Chad also has presented more than 100 oral arguments in state and federal courts including the Fifth, Seventh, and Eighth Circuits.
