MARINE CONNECTIVITY MODELLING
In this webinar an overview of developing an understanding of the linkages between subcatchments and subestuaries in terms of both sediment deposition and pathogens are discussed. This marine connectivity matrix approach allows the effects of targeted reductions in sub-catchment loads to be quantified in terms of the marine receiving environment and provides valuable input into the integrated management of land use and coastal waters.

John is a Principal Coastal Scientist with DHI New Zealand. He has over 30 years’ experience in the use of estuarine and coastal models and their application in consultancy projects. He has extensive knowledge of the use of MIKE 21 and MIKE 3 hydrodynamic models, mud and sediment transport modules and the particle tracking and advection-dispersion modules.
