Evidence-based nutrition in healthcare
One simple intervention offers hope not only to prevent and treat chronic diseases, but to improve planetary health and avoid unprecedented health crises such as those we have faced in 2019 and 2020.

The Food Vitals series will begin with a deep dive into the evidence for whole food plant-based nutrition and the powerful ally it represents to clinicians and patients in the fight against lifestyle-related disease.

Our expert panelists will explore exciting research on how to prevent and treat diabetes, improve insulin resistance and halt the globe’s number one killer, cardiovascular disease. They will share their personal and professional experience with evidence-based nutrition and answer your questions with a live Q&A.

Last but not least, we will introduce “Plant-based nutrition and health: A guide for health professionals”. This new publication and accompanying resources from Doctors For Nutrition provide simple, informative guidance and tools for both health professionals and patients with easy steps to get you eating more preventatively, starting today.

Dr Libby Forsyth, Events & Education Lead at Doctors For Nutrition, will host the webinar.

Libby is a practising medical doctor and previously studied a bachelor of psychology and worked in marketing. In 2020, Libby began devoting her focus to advocating the benefits of whole food plant-based nutrition for managing and preventing chronic disease. Libby also loves growing her own veggies using sustainable land practices and learning about indigenous land management practices.
