Norfolk Hub Talks presents Breaking Free from Plastics
Join environmental lecturer and author Sasha Adkins in a discussion on how a truly zero-waste lifestyle calls for us to re-examine our relationships, particularly our responsibilities to the workers who manufacture plastics and those who handle our waste. In this webinar, Sasha will answer questions such as what does it mean to be plastic free? Is it possible? How would you go about it, and why?

Co-sponsored by United Congregational Church Green Group, the Norfolk Conservation Commission and the Norfolk Library

Sasha Adkins (they, them) is a lecturer at Loyola University Chicago's School of Environmental Sustainability and the author of From Disposable Culture to Disposable People: The Unintended Consequences of Plastics. A fellow with GreenFaith, Sasha works at the intersection of environmental and climate justice, endocrine disruption, and disposable culture.
