GAIA - a new app to locate vineyards, store information and monitor crop health
Australia’s winegrape growers can now use the GAIA web-based app to store information about their blocks and glean crop health information to enable vineyard monitoring and decision-making. GAIA, developed by Consilium Technology with funding from Wine Australia, is an artificial intelligence system that searched high-resolution satellite images to locate vineyards across Australia for the recent National Vineyard Scan. GAIA also allows the layering of crop health images and data management, providing growers with a simple monitoring and management system. This presentation will include an overview of the results of the National Vineyard Scan 2018 and a demonstration of GAIA’s features.
