APEC Workshop on Inclusive Business: Charting the Path for Shared Prosperity through Inclusivity

Event Description

Placing the importance of recognizing emerging challenges and new opportunities at the heart of post pandemic economic recovery calls for a synergistic interaction between the Government and private sectors to achieve sustainable progression and growth. Inclusive Business (IB) provides a solution by virtue of expanding access to products, services and livelihoods on a commercially viable basis, either at scale or scalable to people at the bottom of the pyramid, making them part of the value chain as companies’ core business suppliers, distributors, retailers or customers. The 2-day workshop is premised on promoting IB as a sustainable business framework which can reset the economic fundamentals and rebuild a better sustainable future post-COVID-19. It will be held virtually from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 29 - 30 November 2022 and will bring together about 200 participants from Malaysia and other APEC Member Economies, relevant policymakers and government officials responsible for the design and implementation of IB, which involves CEOs from companies with IB models, business associations and other key stakeholders from the IB ecosystem.
