COVID-19 Series: Tackling growing cancer and surgical waiting lists - Episode 63

This week on the COVID-19 Series, we look at the mounting problem of cancer and surgical waiting lists due to the impact of COVID-19.

To discuss this subject we welcome Professor Neil Mortensen, President of the Royal College of Surgeons, Professor Clare Turnbull, Professor of Translational Cancer Genetics in the Division of Genetics and Epidemiology at the Institute of Cancer Research in London, and Professor Gary Middleton, Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Birmingham and member of the UK Coronavirus Cancer Monitoring Project.

Hosted by Dean of the Royal Society of Medicine Professor Humphrey Scott, the panel will offer insight into the scale of the problem, how care should be prioritised going forward, the geographical variations of the issue, and what the potential solutions might be.
