Patient Assistance Programs
Description
Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) are for those without health insurance or adequate prescription drug coverage, who must pay for their medications out of pocket. PAPs, which are usually sponsored by pharmaceutical manufacturers, are promoted as a “safety net” for Americans who have no health insurance or are underinsured. The goal of these programs is to provide financial assistance to help these patients access drugs for little or no cost. The benefits you receive vary widely from program to program and often have different requirements. Each program operates differently. This webinar will have representatives from Pfizer and PhRMA PAPs to describe how their programs work to provide a range of forms to the audience.
This webinar is in partnership with the National AA NHPI COVID-19 Health Response Partnership: NYU Center for the Study of Asian American Health, Papa Ola Lokahi, Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs, Coalition for Asian American Children + Families, Pacific Islander Center of Primary Care Excellence, National Council of Asian Pacific Americans, Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance, and Philippine Nurses Association of America Foundation.
