In 2020, the European Commission announced the framework for its second Circular Economy Action Package. As a result, there is increasingly an ambitious framework for EU Member States to work within, whilst neighbouring non-EU countries have also followed suit and introduced a number of their own measures. However, despite this recent legislative activity, it remains a question as to whether European economies are any closer to becoming circular and how we should specifically measure circularity.
This webinar will go into greater depth to answer these key questions:
Is a truly circular economy ever achievable? On our current trajection, when could this be achieved in Europe?
What are the indicators and benchmarks we use in Europe to measure progress towards a circular economy?
What are the policies and strategies that local municipalities should focus on implementing to help accelerate progress towards a circular economy? How can they best support national policy-creation and action towards this goal?
Unfortunately, the webinar platform we use has a maximum capacity of 100 virtual seats. We are sorry but we won’t be able to host online everyone who has registered. The attendance will, therefore, be done on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning that only the first 100 people to log-in will be able to attend the webinar.
However, if you are not part of the first 100 who join at the start of the webinar, then you can still follow the webinar live on our YouTube channel.
We will ensure questions posed on our Youtube channel are still relayed to the speakers.
