Learn how to use the SEAI Primary Science Resources in the classroom. This one hour interactive workshop held over zoom will give you all the tools you need to teach Energy and Sustainability in the SESE curriculum. We will explain the key features of our free online resources including interactive whiteboard use, inquiry based science approaches and the spiral nature of the programme.
The session will take the following format:
● Overview of the SEAI resources and workshops available
● Overview of the programme and curriculum context
● Demonstration of one of the Interactive Whiteboard resources
● Demonstration of how the interactive whiteboard resources can be used to aid with the exploring, planning and evaluating stages of a Design and Make activity
This is an active session where participants will be encouraged to have their cameras on and interact with each other and with the facilitator through the use of Mentimeter, chat and full group discussion.
Una Halpin has been working as a facilitator with the SEAI school’s programme since 2012 delivering junior primary and senior primary pupil workshops and second level student workshops as well as teacher CPD. Una has also been involved in developing new content for workshops for all levels.
