Going Solar – Connecting Faith, Finance and Facilities in the US
Going Solar – Connecting Faith, Finance and Facilities

More and more religious and spiritual communities are exploring how to install solar energy systems on their facilities. They find quickly that this represents an exciting yet challenging prospect, which raises pressing questions related to technology, finance, physical plant, communications, and other issues.

Join us on a special hour-ling webinar to learn how US-based faith groups can “go solar” – with information shared by Rev. Fletcher Harper, GreenFaith’s Executive Director. Using a variety of public and private financing tools, GreenFaith has facilitated the installation of over 1 megawatt of solar photovoltaic systems on faith communities and on the homes of their members. You’ll learn about the challenges, opportunities, and best practices related to solar and religious and spiritual communities.

This webinar is conducted in collaboration with the Environmental Justice Program of the United Church of Christ, and its monthly webinar series on best practices for Creation Justice Churches.
