“Improving the Quality of Essential Newborn Care in Myanmar: The journey from one hospital to many.”
The WHO Collaborating Center for training and research in Newborn Care at AIIMS (WHO-CC) launched a series of webinars in May 2018 to support sharing and learning among healthcare teams in the region.

These webinars primarily aim to share the stories of how healthcare facilities, teams and countries started doing quality improvement.

Our esteemed speaker for this session is Professor Thein Thein Hnin, Neonatologist, Women’s and Children’s Hospital Taunggyi, Southern Shan State, Myanmar

Professor Thein Thien Hnin will be sharing her team's quality improvement journey to improve essential newborn care. Beginning with the details of their first quality improvement project to improve newborn care in their facility to how they went on to supporting three other hospitals in the region to improve.

In these webinars we are especially focusing on the following countries - Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Srilanka, Timor Leste.

Frontline health workers – doctors, nurses, midwives, allied health staff are all encouraged to attend.

We hope this series of webinars will serve as a collaborative learning platform for building the momentum and capacity of healthcare teams and stakeholders in the region to improve quality of maternal and newborn healthcare. We look forward to your participation.
