In her book "Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men," Caroline Criado Perez illuminates the ways institutional bias and gendered information gaps impede the development of solutions that materially affect the lives of women. Many of the social problems disproportionately affecting women remain unseen and unsolved. We are convening women who work with and through technology and data science to raise the visibility of and create solutions for these challenges – women committed to helping women.
