The AMA’s Academic Physicians Section and Young Physicians Section invite you to the following webinar: An Update on Continuing Board Certification from the American Board of Medical Specialties
Description
Richard E. Hawkins, MD, president and chief executive officer of the American Board of Medical Specialties, will present changes to the standards for continuing certification that emerged after four years of consultation with physician organizations and public stakeholders. Changes include access to convenient, online, open-book testing designed to facilitate learning and new approaches to improving care in partnership with medical and specialty societies. Dr. Hawkins will highlight strategic imperatives to enhance value to participating physicians and to users of ABMS board certification and to support the movement toward competency-based medical education and assessment. The ABMS is interested in feedback from the AMA member sections about how the boards can better support physicians through certification.
