Dr. Tripathi
Dr. R.C. Tripathi (Ramacharan Tripathi) till recently was a National Fellow of the Indian Council of Social Science Research. He also is a Fellow of the International Association of Applied Psychology and of the National Academy of Psychology (India). He has been a Professor and Chair in the Department of Psychology and Center of Advanced Study in Psychology at the University of Allahabad, India. He is the Chief Editor of ‘Psychology and Developing Societies’, a journal of Sage International. Professor Tripathi received his doctoral degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. He has been a Fulbright scholar at the University of Michigan and Wake Forest University in the United States and has lectured at Universities in the Netherlands, Hong Kong and India. He also has held positions of the Director of GB Pant Social Science Institute and Pro- Vice Chancellor of the University of Allahabad. The primary focus of his research has been on understanding societal problems of the developing societies. Among his many books are: Perspectives on violence and othering in India (with Purnima Singh, Springer, 2016); Organizational studies in India (with Rohit Dwivedi, Orient Blackswan, 2016); Psychology, development and social policy (with Y. Sinha, Springer, 2013); Psychology in Human and Social Development (with J.W. Berry and R.C.
