IBD UK Virtual Report Launch webinar
How does NHS care need to change for people with Crohn’s and Colitis?
Join IBD UK, a partnership of 17 professional bodies, royal colleges and patient organisations working together for everyone affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), for the launch of Crohn’s and Colitis Care in the UK: The Hidden Cost and a Vision for Change.

In this event, you will learn about the state of care for the estimated half a million people living with Crohn’s and Colitis (the two main forms of IBD) across the UK. The results are based on the most comprehensive assessment of IBD care ever undertaken from the unique perspective of both the services delivering care and the patients receiving it.

What you can expect from this launch event:
• We will set out an agenda for change and innovation, which is even more pressing given the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on diagnosis and access to services, including investigations and surgery.
• Key influencers will be sharing their views on how IBD service provision can adapt in the midst of the pandemic.
• Examples of excellent practice from across the UK will be highlighted.

With the aim of transforming IBD care, this event will be of interest and pertinence to politicians; policymakers; NHS leaders, managers and commissioners; healthcare professionals; journalists and people with Crohn’s and Colitis.

Hear from:
• Sarah Sleet, CEO, Crohn’s & Colitis UK and Chair, IBD UK
• Anisha Gangotra, who lives with Colitis
• Baroness Young of Old Scone, former Chair, Care Quality Commission and Chief Executive, Diabetes UK
• Jennie Walker, Deputy Director, Personalised Care, NHS England
• Dr Barney Hawthorne, IBD Clinical Lead, NHS Wales
• Denyse Aitken, National Improvement Adviser, Modernising Patient Pathways Programme, Scottish Government
• Dr Andrew Murdock, Chair, Northern Ireland IBD Interest Group.
