Webinar BLUE Café: Global Seas
BLUE café is a series of webinars hosted by DHI. It is an informal virtual space to share and discuss the results of our latest research and innovation projects.
Today’s Blue Café is about the new Global Seas service. This new groundbreaking service aims at providing the best possible regional ocean surface current predictions with proven skill, easy access by API and web visualization service.

Based on dialogue with seven leading operators and service providers in the shipping industry the surface ocean current predictions are ranked as one of the most critical metocean parameters for improving vessel performance optimization and route planning services.

In this BLUE café we will take you through its scientific background and present the service.
The key components are:
• satellite and in situ data processing
• 3D ocean flow modelling
• data assimilation
• model validation techniques
• result visualization
• operational model execution
• data access via API.

Show up with a headset and avoid sunlight. Bring coffee and we supply the music!

Looking forward to seeing you all.
