Webinar Wednesday: Tackling The Summer Learning Slump
Without participation in a high-quality summer learning program, many students can lose ground academically over the summer contributing to a persistent achievement gap problem. This session will focus on the latest research from the National Academies of Science’s Committee on Summertime Experiences and Child and Adolescent Education, Health and Safety—funded by Wallace and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the RAND Summer Learning Series. Session speakers will review the findings on summertime experiences and offer recommendations on how school leaders can improve the quality, equity, and effectiveness of summer programming. Attendees will take-away practical strategies and resources for building a high-quality summer learning program of activities to reduce the summer learning slump.
