Webinar Wednesday: Tackling The Summer Learning Slump
Without participation in a high-quality summer learning program, many students can lose ground academically over the summer contributing to a persistent achievement gap problem. The session speaker will review the findings on summertime experiences and offer recommendations on how school leaders can improve the quality, equity, and effectiveness of summer programming. Attendees will take-away practical strategies and resources for building a high-quality summer learning program of activities to reduce the summer learning slump.

Presenter: Dr. Heather Schwartz is the Program Director of Pre-K-12 Educational Systems in RAND’s Education and Labor division, and is also a senior policy researcher. She was the lead author on the most recent recommended practices guide from the RAND Summer Learning Series, sponsored by the Wallace Foundation.
