OSDE Fall Workshop 1: Consideration of Assistive Technology (AT)
Part 1 – Consideration of Assistive Technology - Sept. 17, 2020

Participants will learn the process for consideration of AT for all students with disabilities, including legal requirements related to AT Consideration and how to help educators discover potential solutions available to help meet students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Educators will be provided the opportunity to make low-tech AT to help students with curricular/daily living tasks.

Prerequisite: none
Learning Outcomes
1. Describe consideration of AT for all students with disabilities.
2. Summarize what the law says about AT Consideration.
3. List potential solutions available to help meet students’ IEP goals.

2.0 CEUs pending approval for OT/OTA, PT/PTA.
This program is offered for 0.20 ASHA CEUs (Introductory Level; Professional Area).
