This webinar will explore how to create a text set in an elementary classroom in order to help students build knowledge around a concept. Text sets include a range of text types and various forms of qualitative and quantitative text complexity, which makes them an efficient way to differentiate instruction and increase student motivation. Text sets are built by considering the level of text and the instructional strategy which will be paired with the use of the text (for example, shared reading, read-aloud, small group reading, independent reading). The webinar will also include example text sets and suggestions for use in the classroom. Time will be given at the end for Q&A. All registrants will receive a link to the recorded webinar for later viewing, as well as a personalized PD certificate.
