New study review - Diagnosis and management of pediatric complicated pneumonia using the Karius Test
This live webinar will focus on the utilization of the Karius® Test for community acquired pneumonia (CAP) at Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego. Pediatric CAP is a serious infection caused by a wide range of bacterial, viral, and fungal etiologies and is a leading cause of hospitalization in children.

Dr. David Hong will discuss a newly published retrospective study in Diagnostic Microbiology and Infectious Disease, evaluating the impact of the Karius Test and how it performs against standard-of-care diagnostic techniques such as cultures (1). One of the main findings of the study was that as a direct result of Karius Test results, changes in antibiotic management were made in 47% of children hospitalized with complicated pneumonia.
