Forget socks or soap that always get recycled, what we all want to give and receive this Christmas is a box of specially-selected festive wines that are guaranteed to raise everyone’s spirits. The four wines in this celebration case will be featured in a virtual fine wine tasting held by Jane MacQuitty, The Times Wine Critic and David Gleave from Liberty Wine, on Thursday December 3rd from 7:00pm.
In addition, the talented Chef Rowley Leigh has put together a delicious collection of festive British recipes, with a Gallic twist, to accompany the wines; the recipes featured include everything from tasty, effortless canapes, to a spoiling Christmas eve fish dish, and Rowley Leigh’s take on a Boxing day classic, a turkey, ham and porcini mushroom pie, but with a difference.
The four wines in the case, include a prestigious, little-known champagne that you won’t find on shop shelves, the mouth-wateringly crisp, grilled almond-styled Piper-Heidsieck Essentiel Extra Brut, a gorgeous, bold, toasted hazelnut and honey-flecked 2019 Blank Canvas ‘Reed’ Chardonnay from Marlborough, New Zealand, a humdinger of a crunchy, red-fruited, 2015 Les Hauts de Perganson Haut-Medoc claret, plus a top drawer, sparky, rose-scented 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo from maestro, G D Vajra and his family.
To take part you will need to order your wine case before Thursday 26 November and book your free place at the live wine tasting webinar. Please email Liberty Wines if you would like to send cases as gifts to friends/family (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please note you will need to order by 14 December for the last guaranteed pre-Christmas delivery date of 18 December.
