Description
Join us for a free webinar with Dr. Wendy K. Tam, who offers valuable insights as a parent who has used AoPS materials in her own family. Dr. Tam will discuss how a problem-solving approach creates meaningful advantages at every stage from K-12 through college preparation. Wendy is a force in the math world and has been helping young problem solvers of all ages through math circles, competition training, and teaching at a number of math camps including Campersand, Epsilon, and Math in the Mountains. Her academic credentials further enhance her perspective: Dr. Tam serves as Professor of Political Science, Computer Science, Law, and Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University. She is also an affiliate at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, Professor Emerita at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Professional Researcher in the School of Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. This webinar presents a unique opportunity to engage with Dr. Tam about how developing strong problem-solving abilities, resilience, and curiosity helps create lifelong learners who succeed both academically and beyond the classroom.
