Join us for a conversation and live roots reggae dub set by Jamie / Kibir La Amlak (kibir-la-amlak.com).
I will be talking with Jamie about his dynamic storytelling and the different creative forms it takes, about connectivity and wellbeing through sound.
Jamie is a multi-disciplinary artist. He is a designer, music producer, performer, sound engineer, photographer, cinematographer, and a therapeutic wellbeing practitioner. He is well known as the frontman for Kibir La Amlak, a live dub show, record label, studio and sound system.
Most recently Jamie created a video for The Marley family and Amplified Records, re-imagining Bob Marley's iconic song, “One Love” in support of Unicef's Corona virus response.
With over a decade of festival performances, worldwide tours and events under his belt and an ever expanding list of titles to his discography, he has become a household name in the world of roots reggae and dub. Whether he’s on stage, in the studio, behind a camera, in an editing suite, in a design studio or facilitating music therapy workshops, his love of story telling and harmony shine through in all his creative expressions.
Creative Ecosystem is a series of online events and workshops, marking Studio Emmi’s 15th anniversary.
