MSP Film Society Presents: Women in Blue - Live Discussion
MSP Film Programmer Craig Laurence Rice will moderate a discussion with Director Deirdre Fishel, film subject Catherine “CJ” Johnson, Minneapolis City Council Member Alondra Cano, Civil Rights Attorney and Activist Nekima Levy Armstrong, and former Minneapolis City Council Member Ralph Remington about the ongoing efforts of police reform and women's roles in leadership and community safety.

About the film:
Following three female police officers in Minneapolis, Women in Blue charts their progress and efforts to remake the department to become more inclusive. When the killing of Justine Damond results in the resignation of Chief Harteau, it threatens the gains women have made in the department.

This screening is part of the MSP Film Society's programming initiative, We the People: Required Watching, designed to spark conversation around current events and issues of social impact affecting our community, country and world.
