Karin Castro Clarkson
Professional Engineer and Program Manager @Department of Homeland Security
Ms. Karin Clarkson has served the Federal Government in various capacities supporting acquisition programs for over 20 years. Ms. Clarkson is a Program Manager at in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) office for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). She is responsible for acquisition planning and execution of several programs that enable operational partners to promote readiness for chemical, biological radiological nuclear or heath security threats. At CWMD, Ms. Clarkson supports operators by providing information, equipment and expertise to the frontline personnel who protect the Nation. Ms. Clarkson is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E) in the commonwealth of Virginia and holds a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the John’s Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the George Washington University.
