[Energy Talks Webinar] Bangladesh Solar Chapter: Transitioning to the Era of Green Energy

As the eighth-most populous country in the world, Bangladesh’s energy demand has been gradually growing along with the country’s economic development. In order to fulfill the country’s electricity demand while meeting its target of reducing 22% carbon emissions by 2030, Bangladesh government has shifted its focus to explore more development opportunities in renewable energy sector.

By the end of 2020, Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA) published the draft version of National Solar Energy Roadmap 2021-2041. SREDA’s target of solar energy installed capacity by 2041 can reach 6GW under BAU case, 20GW under medium case, and 30GW under high case. Therefore, Energy Talks Webinar’s fourth subject will be targeting Bangladesh solar market.
