This Webinar,is designed to provide information about the birds that are typically found around school grounds, plus ways for the teachers to help their students to attract a greater diversity of species in, to feed them, to provide nesting opportunities for them and to monitor their progress.
You will also be introduced to two of BirdWatch Ireland's key 'citizen science' projects, namely the Irish Garden Bird Survey and Spring Alive, which have been designed to be run as classroom projects and which introduce pupils to the concept of carrying out biodiversity surveys and contributing data to assist a conservation charity.
