Solar Forward and Commercial-Property Assessed Clean Energy: Resources on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy for Rural Communities

Join Solar Forward Program Manager Mary Marshall and C-PACE Director Tracy Phillips for a webinar on resources rural communities can take advantage of for a clean energy transition.

Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing enables owners of eligible commercial and industrial buildings to finance up to 100% of energy efficiency, renewable energy and water conservation eligible improvements for terms up to 25 years. This session will explain how the financing works, how it is different than traditional financing options, what types of buildings and improvements are eligible, how the process to develop a C-PACE financed project works, how the financing can apply to new construction projects, and how challenges such as reaching small-medium buildings and rural communities are being met. Case studies will be presented that demonstrate the depth and breadth of project types currently being financed through this innovative state-wide program.

It helps rural communities tackle policy barriers, garner grassroots solar support, and implement bulk-purchase solar adoption campaigns — in addition to solar skills training and job preparedness provided by the experts at SEI.
