The CAYL Institute presents an engaging discussion with Luis Hernandez, Silvia Juarez-Marazzo, and Yvette Rodriguez on how to support young Latino children in early care and education. Diversity is the signature of Generation Alpha – children born after 2010 – and Latino children will be a large part of that growing population.

How are Latino children faring today? What strategies will enhance the quality of their lives? Join us for straight talk about young Latino children today.

Changing the Game for Young Latino Children will feature our keynote speaker Luis Hernandez, an Early Childhood Education Specialist, whose experience includes Head Start, child care, Pre-K programs, college and universities, child care resource and referral administration, and professional development design. Commentary will be provided by Silvia Juarez-Marazzo, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Nationally Accredited Adlerian Psychoanalyst, and present Clinical Director of Chances for Children - NY. Her work as an educator, psychotherapist, and social worker has been grounded in the science of child development and Infant Mental Health. Yvette Rodriguez will also provide commentary, sharing her experience as Vice President of ABCD Head Start and Children's Services - a role which oversees programs serving over 2,400 low-income children and families each year.
