Technetix Stretching the Network with Virtual Fibre and PON

Jakup Ratkoceri
Product Manager, Fibre Products @Technetix BV
Jakup Ratkoceri is an experienced engineer, having worked in the broadband sector for over 12 years. Jakup started his career in Kosovo at IPKO telecommunications, where he held various roles including network planning engineer and progressed to team leader and manager. He was responsible for DOCSIS 3.0, 4G and GPON rollouts. Jakup holds a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from the University of Pristina and a PHD in optical engineering from the University of Ljubljana, which focused on enhancing the capabilities of the optical access network. Jakup is responsible for the development of Technetix’ fibre and optical product portfolio.
Mark Basham
VP Business Development @Technetix
Mark Basham joined Technetix in 2021 as VP Business Development, leading business activities in FTTx high performance networks for cable and fibre network operators. Mark has over 40 years telecommunications and IT industry experience in technical, commercial, managerial and leadership roles at network operators, hardware and software vendors and market research firms. Prior to joining Technetix, Mark led business development at Edgecore Networks focusing on open and disaggregated whitebox based network solutions including collaboration with OCP, TIP and ONF.
Timo Baanstra
Product Manager, Digital Solutions @Technetix BV
Timo joined Technetix in 2020 as Product Manager, Digital Solutions. The award-winning Virtual SegmentationTM solution for virtual fibre is part of his product portfolio. Timo has worked within the broadband industry throughout his career and has over 20 years’ experience working on operator and vendor projects. He has worked in program and product management roles, focusing on the product life cycle of a network, CPE and software. Timo has also worked in customer services, network services and business development.
