In recent months, we’ve witnessed a global cry for justice in face of systemic racism. How can art be a catalyst for social change? We'll hear from Dar al-Kalima professor Faten Nastas Mitwasi and graphic design student Carla Gedeon, as they share how art provides a social justice lens in which to critically reflect on reality while imagining new futures. Learn how the students are navigating the unique challenges and opportunities of a pandemic learning environment.

Faten Nastas Mitwasi
Professor @Dar al-Kalima University of Arts & Culture
Faten Nastas Mitwasi is a multi media artist and professor at Dar al-Kalima, where she his Chair of the Applied Arts Program. She was a key person in developing and establishing the college's visual arts program. Faten exhibits internationally, and has authored three books, including Reflections on Palestinian Art: Art of Resistance or Aesthetics (2015).
Carla Gedeon
