Introduced in AutoCAD version 2005, a field is a text string containing instruction to display data that you expect to change during the life-cycle of your drawing.
All geometry can be interrogated within a drawing, and this can be displayed as text that will update if the object changes. i.e. we can display the area / length of an object as a field and if that object is modified, the content of the field will update to display the updated information.
During the webinar we will:
Look at what is able to be used as a field
- Add fields
- Modify fields
- Add calculations to fields
- Formatting fields
