Stellenbosch University’s Palestinian Solidarity Forum’s virtual IAW presents:
Event: The State of Palestine Due to the "State of Israel"
Speakers: Miko Peled and Aadila Mahomed
Date: May 12, 2020 @ 19:00 (South Africa) / 1:00 PM (EST)
From May 11- May 15, the Stellenosch University Palestinian Solidarity Forum, will be hosting a virtual Israeli Apartheid week.
Each day for this week, there will be things set aside to post on our social media platforms, that will ultimately engage with students to encourage activism.
On Tuesday, May 12, we will have a zoom discussion between Aadila Mahomed (Founder and chairperson of the SU PSF) and Miko Peled (Author, Speaker, Human Rights Activist).
The state of Palestine due to the "state of Israel" is a brief overview of the history of the conflict, the effect this conflict would have on the rest of the world, as well as the situation being worsened with Covid-19; where we can see even more clearly- the injustice and lack of humanity from Israel.
This discussion should leave people having a bit more of an understanding when it comes to the matter of apartheid Israel, and with that- make apathy much more difficult in this situation.
