Tobit runs a practice specialising in the diagnosis and control of environmental deterioration in historic buildings and the conservation of wall paintings. As well as extensive work with churches and cathedrals, Tobit also works for private and institutional clients, including English Heritage, the National Trust, and Historic Royal Palaces. He is an accredited member of the Institute for Conservation, a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, and a fellow of the International Institute of Conservation.
