Join the Volcker Alliance in thanking our public servants who have worked tirelessly during the pandemic.
On May 4 from 2–3 p.m. EDT, during Public Service Recognition Week, Volcker Alliance Board Chair and former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley will lead a discussion with public servants who—in different parts of the country, in varying roles, but with the same unwavering commitment to the common good—are responding to myriad challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Panelists will reflect on ways their teams nimbly pivoted in response to the pandemic, such as:
- Ensuring school-aged children in New York City shelters had access to the technology required to attend school remotely;
- Rolling out COVID testing and vaccination sites in vulnerable communities across Arizona; and
- Leveraging virtual strategies to encourage underrepresented candidates to apply for open police and fire positions in Los Angeles
Featured speakers will include Breanna Carpenter, Assistant Director, Enterprise Lab, Arizona State University’s Research Enterprise; Vincent V. Cordero, Division Manager, Public Safety Division, Personnel Department, City of Los Angeles; and Molly Murphy, First Deputy Commissioner, Department of Social Services, New York City.
Please submit questions or comments for the panelists in advance by entering them below or send an email to email@example.com.
