Deep Sea Shorts- What action is being taken to defend the deep?
For the second in the DSCC's series of Deep Sea Shorts, we'll be screening a selection of films from around the globe that shine a light on the threats our deep ocean faces. This session will also feature the DSCC's brand new film, released especially for #DeepWeek, which dives into the murky world of deep-sea mining.

Following the screening, we'll be hearing from a range of deep-sea defenders on the action being taken to safeguard its health and what you can do today to #DefendTheDeep.

For the panel discussion, we will be joined by:

- Jessica Battle- Senior Expert Global Ocean Policy and Governance & Lead No Deep Seabed Mining Initiative, WWF

- Jeremy Raguain- Communications and Outreach Coordinator, Seychelles Islands Foundation, and Young Ocean Leader, Sustainable Ocean Alliance

- Karli Thomas- Ocean Advocate, Deep Sea Conservation Coalition.

- Pelenatita Kara, National Coordinator, Deep Sea Mining campaign, Civil Society Forum of Tonga

The session will be hosted by Sian Owen, Director of the Deep Sea Conservation Coalition.
