Deirdre Garvey
CEO @The Wheel
Deirdre will be our chair for the Report launch. Deirdre has over 20 years’ experience working at national and international level in charity and not-for-profit organisations. As CEO of The Wheel, Deirdre has lead it to become Ireland’s support and representative organisation for the sector in Ireland. At an individual level, Deirdre has been at the forefront of the development on national public policy as affecting charities and the non-profit sector and she was instrumental in negotiating the COVID 19 Stability Fund rescue package for charities, announced by the Government in May.
Éilis Murray
CEO @Philanthropy Ireland
Éilis is CEO of Philanthropy Ireland, an independent member association of philanthropic organisations and interests committed to the growth and development of philanthropy in Ireland. With over 25 years’ experience working in the not-for-profit sector with a range of NGO’s she is passionate about the value of the sector and the role of philanthropy, including Trusts and Foundations, within the sector. A member of DAFNE, the Donor and Foundations Network of Europe and a Director of Oakfield Trust, Éilis holds a MA in Philanthropy from the Center for Philanthropy in University of Kent.
Niamh Carruthers
Consultant @2into3
Niamh Carruthers is the author of the Giving Ireland Report and is a Consultant and Strategic Planning Lead at 2into3 and an associate member of the Institute of Management Consultants. She has worked with organisations across the not-for-profit sector to support their growth and increase their impact. Niamh is a deep believer in the transformative impact of the sector on society and is dedicated to pursuing solutions that will foster collaboration, transparency and innovation for Irish not-for-profits. Before joining 2into3, Niamh held various roles within Trinity College, serving as TCD Students’ Union Volunteer Forum Coordinator, Director of Jailbreak 2017, one of Ireland’s largest fundraising events, and as VP & Head of Fundraising for Trinity Vincent de Paul. Niamh obtained a BA (Hons) in Sociology and Spanish from Trinity College Dublin.
