5G: What's fixed got to do with it?
This BBF webinar covers the Forum’s key role in the realization of 5G

This webinar covers new work being developed by the Broadband Forum to address areas key to the success of 5G deployment – the interfaces between the 5G core, mobile networks, existing fixed and new hybrid access nodes and gateways. Other projects cover network slicing and 5G transport networks.

With 28 billion devices expected to be connected, 5G will never achieve full functionality through wireless networks alone and must be backed by a world-class fixed network. In addition, a new robust fixed-mobile convergence strategy is required. So, “What's fixed got to do with 5G?” The Broadband Forum’s answer is “Everything!”

Who should attend?

The Forum is making an important contribution to what will likely be one of the biggest transformations in the history of industry. It will affect communications between billions of households, mobile devices, compute, consumer and IoT devices and countless Cloud services. We recommend attendance by all who are interested in play a part in the realization of 5G.
