Join us for a unique opportunity to hear from Chris Gardner, a critically acclaimed author, entrepreneur, single parent, speaker and philanthropist.
Gardner’s autobiography, "The Pursuit of Happyness," inspired the iconic film starring Will Smith that follows his life after he experiences homelessness.
During this virtual event, Gardner's message of empathy and hope will help you unlock your inner power and make a difference in our community.
Because we know we can make a bigger impact when we work together, you’ll also have the opportunity to hear from two of our amazing partners. Albert Varas, Executive Director of the Latino Center of the Midlands, and Tom Warren, President and CEO of Urban League of Nebraska, will discuss social injustice in our community and the steps we can take to ensure more people receive equal opportunities to thrive. The discussion will be moderated by Shawna Forsberg, President and CEO of United Way of the Midlands.
The event is free to attend thanks to our generous sponsors, First National Bank of Omaha and Facebook.
