Families across the country are all facing the same challenge, how do we encourage a healthy academic experience in the face of distance learning? Parents and caregivers may be overwhelmed trying to work remotely and “home school” their students simultaneously. Students have been thrown into a new way of learning, tackling the challenges of new platforms, dealing with changes in how they are now receiving information, and the always ever present technology distractions.
SOS4Students, the Bay Area’s premier academic coaching company, specializing in executive function skills, has created a 75 minute webinar, “Student Distance Learning: A Webinar for Parents and Students in an Ever Changing Landscape”. The webinar, geared towards middle school and high school aged students, will cover topics like: the differences between classroom and online learning, how parents can encourage students to self pace in learning without micromanaging, how students can combat distractions that come from technology and working from home, and how parents and students can overcome the anxiety associated with a new routine.
This will be a 60 minute presentation, followed by a 15 minute Q&A session with SOS director Beth Samuelson. Access to powerpoint will be given to all participants that will have resources, tools, and tips.
Access is only $25.00.
