The National Ramadan and Diabetes Webinar 2021 is an education workshop discussing a broad range of diabetes issues during Ramadan, from the latest scientific advances to cutting-edge information on education, diabetes care and awareness during Ramadan. The workshop provides the latest clinical recommendations to support healthcare professionals managing people with diabetes.

This year, the workshop is very special as it coincides with the launch of the new IDF-DAR 2021 guideline which was contributed by a few of the speakers from this webinar including Prof. Dato’ Paduka Dr. Wan Mohamad Wan Bebakar, Datuk Dr. Zanariah Hussein, Prof Dato’ Paduka Dr. Mafauzy Mohamed and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barakatun-Nisak Mohd Yusof.

Through the workshop, the participants will be able to:
• Learn about the therapeutic strategies and contribution to overall glycemic control and managing complication risks during fasting month
• Adopt the Ramadan Nutrition Plan in managing diabetes fasting population
• Discuss the role of counselling in diabetes fasting population
