Justice raciale, indignation identitaire et débat ouvert / Racial Justice, Righteous Outrage, and Open Discourse

La pandémie a révélé les injustices sociales dans de nombreux domaines de notre société. C'est dans ce contexte que le mouvement social Black Lives Matter est revenu à l’avant-scène, après le meurtre de George Floyd aux mains de la police, avec une vague de mouvements connexes, dont le projet BIPOC. Ces mouvements ont placé le racisme systémique au premier plan de leur appel à une transformation structurelle attendue depuis longtemps.

Sarah Mason-Case, boursière 2017, animera cette conversation extraordinaire avec le professeur Richard T. Ford, intellectuel d’exception et expert de renommée internationale sur la race, les droits civils et la lutte contre les discriminations.

The pandemic has exposed the fault lines of social injustice in many areas of our society. It is in this context that the Black Lives Matter social movement returned to the forefront, following the murder of George Floyd at the hands of police, along with a groundswell of related movements including the BIPOC Project. These movements have put systemic racism front and centre in an overdue call for structural transformation.

2017 Scholar Sarah Mason-Case will host this extraordinary conversation with intellectual leader Dr. Richard T. Ford, who is a world-renowned expert on race, civil rights, and anti-discrimination.
